Mercury Pollution

best-aurora-march-february-2013-andakls-iceland_65669_600x450I often times blog about environmental toxins and our population’s impact on the environment.  I do this because I see so many health problems in my Acupuncture clinic that are directly related to environmental toxicity.  Humans for some reason have a hard time seeing the importance of their relationship to the environment and how important it is for us to care for our planet, our home.  I hear people talking about how large the world is and how arrogant it is for us to believe that we can effect the planet.  This may sound philosophical but I believe it is merely a way to avoid responsibility.  When I say this I am not pointing the finger.  I too am responsible.  I drive my car, I buy products that are mined from the earth, I use plastics.  What I am hoping to do is bring enough awareness to these problems that we as a people start to care and change.  It may not be large changes at first but if we all start to make small changes in our lives there is hope.  On a personal level if you are concerned about toxicity in your body stay tuned to my blog for more information on cleansing and natural chelation methods.  Click on the link below for a very informative article about rising mercury levels in our oceans.  I recommend that all of my patients stop eating seafood.  Unfortunately it is no longer safe!              LA Times Article on Rising Oceanic Mercury Levels
